Depression & Grief

There are moments when grief and sadness seem endless, and the world feels distant, yet even in those quiet, heavy times, like the moon's gentle glow in the night sky, there is a light that can hold you. Grief can be a profound and complex experience, touching every part of your life. It can weigh on your heart and mind, drain your body of energy, and make it difficult to connect with others or find meaning in everyday moments. If you’re carrying the heavy burden of loss, whether recent or long-standing, you don’t have to face it alone.

I offer a safe, supportive space where we can explore the many layers of our grief, as well as any physical and relational challenges that may arise. Through therapy, we will work together to understand your unique experience, ease the weight of your pain, and expand your emotional capacity to hold and process a wide range of feelings and self-states.

If you feel ready to take a step toward healing, I’m here to work with you exploring your inner and relational world and fostering meaningful change. Please feel free to reach out to connect and learn more about how we might work together.

“Someday I’ll Love Ocean Vuong”

"And in the meantime,

the world will not stop for our grief,

But the moon will hold you,

its thin crescent a cradle for the lost,

and the stars will sing you soft lullabies

in the quiet hours when you feel most alone"

— Ocean Vuong

My therapeutic approach to depression and grief is grounded in Relational Self Psychology and contemporary psychoanalytic perspectives. In a supportive, empathic environment, we explore how past relational experiences, attachment wounds, and internalized self-criticism contribute to feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and loss.

Through psychodynamic psychotherapy, typically one to two sessions per week, either in-person or virtual, we examine the unconscious patterns that maintain depressive states and complicate the mourning process. For those needing deeper work, psychoanalysis (three to four sessions weekly) offers an intensive exploration of transgenerational grief, unresolved trauma, and the internal world shaping current emotions.
